Anxiety and stress management
We support young professionals with generalized and social anxiety who might be feeling overwhelmed, overextended, and potentially paralyzed inside and outside of the workplace. From navigating work-life boundaries to balancing personal finances to dealing with information overload from screens, it’s easy to spiral in worry. You might even find yourself having trouble sleeping, concentrating, or making decisions, or even getting headaches and stomach aches.
We want you to be healthy both mentally and physically, and we’ll work through coping strategies so that you can feel calmer, more regulated, and more resilient. We will help you process your emotions and learn skills to regulate and manage intense feelings.
We will help you to manage work stressors and also to explore your “fit” and interests related to your long term professional goals.
Relationships
After being in community with thousands of peers as an undergraduate, building and maintaining friendships and other relationships as a recent graduate is a major shift, and it can feel overwhelming. With friends and peers spread out around the world and fewer ways to meet new people outside of college, you might find yourself feeling isolated and lonely. That being said, you’re not alone. At the Center for Thriving Young Adults, we know that healthy relationships are essential for overall wellness and, well, thriving. We will help you to explore the types of relationships you would like to have and learn skills and make choices for creating those healthy and meaningful relationships.
Workplace adjustment: demands, and stress
Maybe you moved to a new city for work. Maybe you are adjusting to remote or hybrid work. New work schedules, managing assigned tasks, managing work relationships and your full-time job can feel overwhelming. We’ll help you process your emotions and develop skills for managing your stress and responsibilities in the workplace.
