Parent Coaching
At times, we hear from parents and caregivers that so much has changed since their college years: they don’t know how best to support their young adults.
Sometimes it’s hard to know what types of support a young adult needs in order to alleviate their stress and anxiety: is it therapy, executive function coaching, or career consultation? Which type of therapist would be the best fit?
Likewise, it’s hard to navigate the transition to college and supporting your college student as they manage their own care and support systems for their mental health or learning differences.
How much should I be involved, and how much should be managed by the college student?
And if your young adult returns home, whether by taking time off from college or after finishing college, your family might have to re-establish your relationships, roles, and expectations. Raising and guiding your young adult is a journey and sometimes parents and caregivers need support in order to better understand and support their young adults and even what they bring to the parenting experience.
We get to know your family, your values and your young adult and help you to develop parenting approach that will support your young adult while you balance your mental health and other responsibilities.
