College Success Coaching

We also recognize that the step from high school to college is an unmistakably large one. That’s why we offer specific coaching for college students for college success and thriving.

We will help you navigate how to make the most of all four years of your undergraduate education by breaking down the ways you can explore, grow, and succeed inside and outside of the classroom.

Your coaching topics might address the personal, academic, and social transitions that most college students experience.

Some specific issues we will work on together include:

  • Friendships at college

  • Exploring academic and personal interests

  • Finding a faculty mentor

  • Finding internships and opportunities to expand your cjoices

  • Time management for college and beyond.

We will help you navigate your courses of study (exploring classes and majors), tips and tricks for academic success and personal care, and how you can best prepare for the world ahead inside and outside of your career.

Gap year and semester:

Perhaps you decided to wait a year to better understand who you are and what you want before going into college.

Or you decided to take a semester or year off to take care of your mental health.

Or maybe you decided to take time off between semesters to explore other opportunities or take the time and space you need to successfully complete your collegiate journey.

Gap years and time off are important opportunities for growth, but they can also come with challenges. Our relationships with your shifting relationship your friends and family may change. You want to work or volunteer but may not know where to look. At Center for thriving young adults,, we’ll help you to plan your time between semester/or before college with clear intentionality and plans so that you can achieve the goals you have for your time away.

Transfer support:

It is hard to know as a high school student which school would be the best “fit” for you. We often go by the list of “best universities and colleges” but it is hard to know which school will help us to flourish academically, personally and socially.

If you decide to transfer after one or two years at your college, you probably will have a much better sense of what you are looking for in a school. We will help you through the process of researching, narrowing and selecting the next school for you.
